Tom Berg

Biography:

Thomas Alan Berg has devoted forty years of his life to the public schools. Tom discovered his innate love for education while serving the American Government as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Venezuela and Teacher Corps Volunteer in San Francisco's Mission District. He was hired by the San Francisco Public Unified School System in 1971 and taught every grade from K through 8, up until 2005, when he retired from "active duty" in 2005, to complete his opus, "Uncle Tom's Classroom".
