National Waffle Day takes place every August 24th because it was on that day in 1869 that Cornelius Swartwout of Troy, New York, was given a patent for the waffle iron! If you have one, pull it out of the cupboard and get wafflin'!

Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Returns To Dairy Queen For PSL Season

Pumpkin Spice season is showing up a little early this year at many chains, and Dairy Queen is no exception with the return of their Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat. Here are the ingredients:

• Vanilla soft serve
• Real pumpkin pie pieces
• Whipped topping
• Seasonal sprinkle of nutmeg

It will be available at DQ locations beginning August 29th to help kick off this year’s pumpkin spice craze.
