Alien Abduction Blamed for Bizarre Alleged Carjacking Attempt in Florida

By Tim Binnall

The suspect in a bizarre alleged carjacking attempt in Florida told police that the strange incident came about because he was abducted by aliens. According to a local media report, the wild case occurred on New Year's Eve when police in West Palm Beach received a call about a knife-wielding individual carving strange symbols and numbers into a vehicle. Confronted by the owner of the car, the weapon-wielding vandal demanded that he turn over his keys, which prompted the victim to smartly flee the scene and phone the police from the safety of their home.

A short time later, cops responded to the call and found that, in the interim, the man had shed all of his clothes. When questioned by police as to what he was doing, the naked troublemaker told police that "he wanted to die because he was abducted by aliens." His behavior and explanation bewildered the owner of the vehicle who is friendly with the alleged vandal and could not believe what had just occurred in his driveway. Cops subsequently arrested the man for criminal mischief and attempted carjacking with a weapon, while a judge ordered a mental health evaluation that may provide some insight into his otherworldly claim.
