An anomaly hunter scouring NASA images for odd items of interest spotted a particularly weird object that he has likened to a human leg sticking out of the surface of Mars. The peculiar find was made by indefatigable UFO researcher Scott Waring as he was examining a photo from the Red Planet that was captured by the space agency's Curiosity Rover last month. Amid the otherwise barren Martian landscape, a curious dark form can be seen emerging from the ground. The oddity, Waring marveled, is strikingly similar in shape to "a human-like leg."
Although he has documented all manner of strange and unusual objects in images from the space agency over the years, the seasoned anomaly hunter conceded that the potential appendage was "not typically what you would expect in a Mars photo." That said, he argued that "NASA has been keeping mum about all these alien artifacts on Mars, so they must be real." As such, Waring surmised that the leg is probably part of a statue rather than being organic in nature, since such material is unlikely to have survived the harsh environment of the Red Planet for any lengthy period of time.
If the theorized statue was created to scale, Waring postulated that the depicted Martian was approximately four feet tall, which is actually in keeping with accounts of individuals who claim to have encountered extraterrestrial visitors. Of course, skeptical observers will say that the puzzling object is not really the remnants of a statue honoring some hero from the Red Planet's distant past and, in fact, is most likely just a rock that looks like a leg due to pareidolia.
