Bigfoot Howls Heard in Connecticut?

By Tim Binnall

An individual in Connecticut says that they heard a series of unsettling sounds emanating from a nearby patch of woods and they believe that Sasquatch was responsible for the weird noises. According to a report sent to the Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO), the possible auditory sighting occurred in October of last year near the town of Monroe. Recounting the incident, the witness wrote "I heard repeated short-duration screaming/long-duration whooping after midnight." The individual indicated that "the "vocal pattern would be roughly 10 seconds of vocalization then stop," noting that this unfolded "four or five times."

As for why they reported the incident to the BFRO, the witness explained that they live in California and "I'm well acquainted with coyotes, bobcats, and cougars and their vocalizations." To that end, they dismissed the possibility that the sounds were made by one of those prosaic creatures, musing that the "voice had quite a bit of 'power' behind it and I could tell that it was carried over distance." Likening the perceived calls to suspected Sasquatch sounds that they had heard on YouTube, the witness shared another intriguing detail in that "all the dogs in the area started barking at once when the vocalizations ended." While they did not lay eyes on the creature behind the howls, the BFRO gave the case their second-highest classification for a possible Bigfoot sighting.
