In May, SwabTek will donate similar kits to every K9 team attending the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) "National Detector Dog Trials" in Indiana. (Photo courtesy of SwabTek).
SwabTek is partnering with the "National Association of School Resource Officers," "National Drugs & Alcohol Screening Association", "Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence", "Voices for Awareness," and the "National Fentanyl Awareness" team, to provide better tools, testing, anti-overdose medication, and resources for parents and schools. SwabTek is also advocating that every school and public building have field tests and anti-overdose medication, through community leader and elected official engagement. Upon learning of first responder canine teams' extreme risk of overdose and death due to fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics exposure, SwabTek's Vice President of Corporate Relations Drisha Leggitt (pictured here with Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper) made SwabTek's first donation of presumptive narcotics field tests to every K9 team in the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office and Sacramento Police Department. SwabTek has pledged to donate $100,000 in narcotics field test kits in 2023 to support first responder safety and drug prevention education programs. (Photo Courtesy of SwabTek).
