A British woman's delight over a new cell phone quickly turned to despair when the device began exhibiting strange behavior that left her wondering if it was haunted. According to a local media report, the odd case began earlier this month when Diane Key brought her Motorola smartphone home from the store and, shortly thereafter, was roused from her sleep when the device's flashlight suddenly activated. Turning off the illumination and dismissing the odd event as an isolated incident, her assumption was soon upended when the same thing happened the following night and, to her chagrin, has now occurred every evening since.
However, the strangeness soon compounded as Key began receiving a seemingly unending stream of inexplicable texts that simply said "no probs - I not forgotten you." The messages, she lamented "started coming through every blooming minute," which ultimately rendered the device inoperable. "The whole thing is really spooky," the 80-year-old mused, "it's like it's haunted, things like that scare you at my age." Fortunately for Key, a psychic medium enlisted to consult on her situation indicated that the predicament is probably technical rather than paranormal in nature. That said, mystic Tita Martell left open the possibility that the phone could be possessed since "anything can become haunted in theory."
