Chupacabra Killed by Brazilian Hunters?

By Tim Binnall

A group of hunters in Brazil claim that they stumbled upon the infamous chupacabra in a forest and subsequently killed the notorious cryptid. The bizarre tale reportedly emerged earlier this week when disturbing footage of the purportedly downed beast appeared online and quickly went viral on Brazilian social media. The alleged take down of the infamous blood-sucking cryptid is said to have occurred in the community of Guia Lopes da Laguna as the men were looking for wild boar in a wooded area on the edge of town. In recounting the incident, one of the hunters explained that they ran across the creature and their dogs began fighting with the beast before it fled the scene with the group in hot pursuit.

According to the man, they ultimately killed the fearsome cryptid after they managed to catch up to it and filmed the dead creature as proof of their fantastic tale. While many viewers online have taken the group at their word and believe that they truly hunted down the notorious blood-sucker, not everyone is convinced that their account is genuine as more skeptical observers posit that the 'chupacabra' seen in the footage is probably just a dead howler monkey that likely perished days earlier and was found by the men who subsequently decided to weave a wondrous story about it.
