Cops Rescue Deer with Plastic Container Stuck on Head for Nearly Two Weeks

Police in Indiana rescued an unfortunate deer that had been wandering around with a plastic container stuck on its head for nearly two weeks. Detailing the odd intervention on their Facebook page, the Vermillion County Sheriff's Office explained that the animal's troubling predicament first came to light back on February 10th when a concerned citizen reported seeing the creature's curious condition. Although a trooper responding to the call was able to observe the deer's peculiar plight, an attempt at extricating it from the situation proved futile as the animal ultimately wound up dashing off into the woods.

Amazingly, it was not until twelve days later that another officer happened to stumble upon the deer, which still had the plastic container stuck on its head. Fortunately, in this instance, the animal was able to be rescued thanks to help from additional troopers who were enlisted to lend a hand with the operation. As for how it managed to survive nearly two weeks in the wild with a plastic jug on its head the whole time, the department indicated that the undoubtedly desperate deer "busted the bottom of the container, allowing it to eat and drink."
