A creepy clown tormenting children in Colorado had his reign of terror come to a swift end thanks to a school principal who took matters into his own hands and caught the troublemaker. The strange case reportedly occurred in the city of Aurora earlier this week when students at the Horizon Middle School told administrators and their parents that they had been chased by someone wearing a clown mask. The haunting harlequin was even photographed by one witness who spotted the odd-looking individual lurking in the area.
The situation was serious enough that the Aurora police department issued a bulletin on their Twitter account, declaring that "this sort of harassment will not be tolerated." It would seem that opinion was shared by the Horizon Middle School principal, Ron Garcia y Ortiz, who ventured over to the location of the sightings to ensure that his students were safe. While he was there, however, Garcia y Ortiz had a clown encounter of his own as the masked miscreant made yet another appearance.
Unfortunately for the clown, it would seem that Garcia y Ortiz was not as easily scared as his students, since he promptly chased down the mysterious stranger and apprehended them. Police later arrived to take the unnamed juvenile into custody. Luckily for him, authorities have opted not to press any charges, although they did note that the youngster will "likely need to do some explaining to their parents!"
