Creepy Clown Menaces Teens at Beach

By Tim Binnall

A pair of British teenagers say that their visit to the beach took a terrifying turn when they were stalked by a creepy clown that followed them along a pier in a rather unsettling fashion. The unnerving incident reportedly occurred on Monday in the seaside community of Herne Bay and was recounted on social media by the mother of one of the frightened boys, which one imagines he may not be particularly thrilled about. According to the distressed mom, her son had "just come home" from the beach and told her that he had been followed for several minutes by "someone dressed in a full clown outfit."

The haunting harlequin, she wrote, was "walking fast behind them, hiding and crouching behind the sea wall" and generally just "acting creepily like they were acting out a killer clown." The two scared teens say that they took cover in order to throw the mysterious stranger of their trail and, while hiding, observed the person "swaying side to side." Hoping to capture the clown on film but unable to do so because it was "too dark" at the time of the sighting, the youngsters hightailed it for home once the proverbial coast was clear. While one might suspect that perhaps the teens had conjured up the account, if that is the case, then they are quite committed to the story as the encounter was reported to police, who searched the area but found no sign of the harlequin.
