According to self-proclaimed Bigfoot expert, Thomas Markum, not only could the legendary beast easily kill a person, the creature has also been known to abduct unsuspecting victims. Markum admits there are scant historical reports of Bigfoot attacking people and of those few records it seems to be only after someone instigated an assault on the creature. The outspoken cryptozoologist referenced the case of a prospector named Albert Ostman, who alleged he was abducted and held captive by Bigfoot for several days. "He eventually made his escape by getting the Sasquatch to try some of his snuff," Markum revealed. Critics of Ostman's account believe the story is less a recollection and more of an imagining since he did not make it public until decades after the purported abduction took place.
