Dad Scolded by School for Terrifying Students by Dressing as Pennywise to Pick Up Kid

The father of a student at a Scottish elementary school will likely be getting the side-eye at the next parent-teacher night after he donned a Pennywise costume to pick up his child and terrified several tots in the process. According to a local media report, the misguided prank occurred last Thursday afternoon at the Laurencekirk Primary School in the community of Laurencekirk. Shortly before students were dismissed for the day, the mischievous dad arrived at the school in the creepy clown costume. "He walked into the playground and I did think it was odd as it wasn't Halloween anymore," said one parent who indicated that the other adults expressed concern over the man's unsettling attire.

Undeterred by the misgivings of the other parents, the faux Pennywise proceeded to wander over to the school and peer into the window of a classroom. As one might imagine, chaos subsequently ensued with teachers frantically closing the blinds in order to hide the creepy clown outside the building. Once order was restored, the troublemaker was issued a stern reprimand by staff who told him that the incident was "extremely inappropriate." While the school indicated that they are offering support services to any of the youngsters, aged around 5 to 7, who were troubled by the creepy clown, it is uncertain what became of the dad who donned the costume. That said, one imagines that he may not receive a very kind greeting next time he shows up to pick up his kid.
