Dispute Over Vienna Sausages Leads to Stabbing at Georgia Nursing Home

By Tim Binnall

A strange dispute over a missing can of Vienna Sausages at a Georgia nursing home led to one resident being stabbed and another behind bars. The wild incident reportedly occurred last month at a facility on Tybee Island. According to police, they were called to the nursing home after two residents clashed over a can of Vienna Sausages that had mysteriously vanished. The owner of the snacks was apparently certain that they had been stolen by a specific individual whom he promptly accused of the suspected theft.

As voices were raised and tempers flared, police say, "one of the men brandished a knife and allegedly stabbed the other in the chest." Cops arriving at the bloody scene quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the weapon-wielding nursing home resident was arrested for aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. It is uncertain if the person stabbed was the suspected Vienna Sausages thief or the unhappy owner of the lost snacks, which were weirdly never established as having been stolen in the first place.
