Subsequently, the Rakyat Post in Malaysia weighed in to identify the creature as a triggerfish, a denizen of the coral reefs, known for its aggressive actions.
Divers in the area are particularly wary of its nasty bite --it's said to be strong enough to puncture their diving suits and leave a gash. Ouch! The triggerfish's strong jaw evolved to crush shells, and go mano a mano with sea urchins and crabs.
