A game camera at a British wildlife conservation park snapped a photo of a peculiar 'mystery creature' that resembles a deer with wings. The odd image (seen below) was reportedly captured earlier this month by a device deployed by the Bristol Zoo Project, which oversees the sizeable patch of forest that is home to an array of creatures. When staff checked the images from the game camera earlier this month, they were left scratching their heads at the sight of the truly weird-looking animal unlike anything known to inhabit the area.
The creature in question appears to be a juvenile deer that seems to sport a pair of wings sprouting out of its back. While the wildlife park indicated that the creature captured by the game camera is "a mystery to us here at Bristol Zoo Project," they did note that the timing of the photo is particularly fortuitous as the group is set to open a Halloween-themed exhibition centered around mythical creatures later this week. This has led some to suggest that the image is simply a clever publicity stunt aimed at creating a buzz for this year's offering for spooky season.
