A woman at a beach in Britain was mystified when she spotted what appeared to be some kind of apparition off in the distance. According to a local media report, the eerie sighting occurred last Thursday as the unnamed witness was strolling along the boardwalk in the coastal community of Cleethorpes. Her walk came to a sudden stop when she noticed "this strange looking white figure floating around on the beach." Astounded by what she was seeing, the witness snapped a pair of photographs (one of which can be seen below) and quickly exited the area.
Looking back on the spooky anomaly, she mused that "I'm not sure if it's a person or something else" and observed that "the gloomy and foggy nature of the evening just made it even stranger." Like many locations in England, Cleethorpes has a rich history of ghostly tales and, as such, many have suggested that the woman may have glimpsed one of the community's resident spirits. More skeptical observers, however, suggest that the 'apparition' was simply an illusion brought about by the fog. What do you make of the puzzling picture?
