Idaho Congressional Candidate Champions Bigfoot

Befitting what is already a very weird election season, an Idaho Congressional candidate has made celebrating Bigfoot one of the centerpieces of his campaign. According to a local media report, the surprising Sasquatch support comes from Chandler Stewart Hadraba, who is challenging incumbent Soñia Galaviz for a seat in the state's House of Representatives. Along with standard issues one might expect to see on his platform, such as judicial reform and taxes, the candidate has included championing the famed cryptid as a possible boon to the state.

"I really want to make Idaho number one for Bigfoot tourism," Hadraba declared, musing that "this is a creative way to have our rural communities and remote areas benefit more from tourism in such a great state." Specifically, the candidate calls for the cryptid to be recognized as the state animal of Idaho. Beyond that, he envisions drawing Sasquatch-seeking visitors to the area by issuing 'hunting licenses' that would presumably be similar to a 'Bigfoot bounty' concept bandied about by an Oklahoma politician back in 2021. As of yet, it would seem that his opponent has yet to respond to the Sasquatch-specific part of his platform, though hopefully, it comes up if the two candidates have a debate for the election.
