Bloodsucking aliens, fantastic creatures of ancient lore, and the afterlife revolution were among the riveting realms explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And here at the C2C website, we told you about a woman plagued by a possessed doll, an intriguing UFO incident near Ireland, and a search for a missing medium that produced a pretty haunting photograph. Check out our round-up of C2C highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.
Those trying to find fantastic beasts need look no further than this past Monday's edition of C2C featuring occult researcher and practicing witch Maja D'Aoust, who detailed her study of mythical creatures of ancient lore. Gargoyles, the Minotaur, and Baphomet were among the 'monsters' she discussed during her appearance as well as what these creatures may have been meant to represent by their ancient creators.
UFOs were back in the news in a big way this past week thanks to several stories in which the phenomenon took center stage. The biggest of them all was a weird incident where three separate pilots reported seeing an inexplicable object off the coast of Ireland. Although experts later said that they had likely witnessed a meteorite, not everyone is convinced that was the case. Meanwhile, an odd weather balloon was mistaken for an alien craft in Canada and an Oregon woman made the local news after filming UFOs over her house on two consecutive nights.
The question of what aliens, if they exist, would want from us here on Earth has long been debated in UFO circles and, on Wednesday night's program, pioneering paranormal researcher Timothy Green Beckley offered a rather unsettling suggestion: blood. He shared a number of instances where UFOs and their apparent occupants seemed to display a curious interest in the substance, including one amazing incident in 1967 in which a bloodmobile was purportedly chased by a mysterious flying craft!
If there's one thing we've learned covering the world of the unusual over the years, it's that haunted dolls are almost always up to no good. That pearl of wisdom was borne out once again this week when a woman in Peru revealed that she is being tormented by just such a possessed toy. The sinister doll not only conjures poltergeist activity in her home, the woman lamented, but it even attacked her boyfriend and caused him to end their relationship.
The fascinating history of attempting to communicate with the 'other side' was recounted by paranormal researcher Jonathan Zap on Thursday night's program. This 'afterlife revolution,' he said, seemingly exploded in the American zeitgeist during the 19th century and, as you are likely well aware, has become a staple of modern culture today in the form of a vast array of research fields which work to solve the riddle of what comes after death.
Easily, the eeriest story which crossed our desk this week was that of a TV news crew that went searching for the remains of a missing medium in Colorado. While investigating mine shafts where the friends of Kristal Anne Reisinger believe the lost psychic's body may rest, reporters failed to find any physical clues which could crack the case. That said, they did return with a photo that featured a strange shadow that bears a striking resemblance, depending on one's perspective, to either an angel or a devil.
