Tales of time travelers, a possible glimpse of worrisome events that may occur in 2019, and the origin of Christmas traditions were among the enlightening realms explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. Here at the Coast website, we told you about a man who narrowly avoided being shot because he was mistaken for Bigfoot, a remarkable new photograph that may show Nessie up close, and UFO incidents from California and New York. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.
With Christmas right around the corner, paranormal investigator Rosemary Ellen Guiley appeared on Tuesday night's program to help celebrate the season with a discussion on the customs and legends of the holiday. She traced many of the contemporary traditions surrounding Christmas, such as the iconic evergreen tree, back to the 19th century and mused about how the character of Santa Claus actually drew upon a number of different figures throughout history.
Odd objects in the sky seemingly 'had a moment' this week as a number of stories involving UFOs and other strange aerial phenomena made headlines. The strangest case may have been a video that featured a murder of crows appearing to swarm around an enigmatic floating oddity in their midst. Meanwhile, a 'flying saucer' spotted on Google Maps turned out to probably be a butterfly, an eerie cloud caused a stir on social media when it appeared in the evening sky of Northern California, and a puzzling orb was caught frightening a fox on a trail cam in New York.
Unsettling insights into what may unfold in 2019 were revealed by remote viewer Ed Dames on Monday night's program. Perhaps most chillingly among them, the longtime C2C guest said, is that next year could see a massive earthquake strike the United States along the New Madrid Fault and that the aftermath could be catastrophic for the country. Dames also detailed his work remote viewing Bigfoot and indicated that he believes that it is a genuine creature which arrives and departs from the planet via some kind of technological means.
Not to be outdone by their bipedal brethren in the cryptozoological community, mysterious sea creatures made news this week in a pair of stories that sported something of an eerie similarity. The most famous of all such 'monsters,' Nessie, may have been photographed once again thanks to an alert tour guide who suspects that he spotted the creature. Although the man's photo was somewhat strange, one can't help but marvel at how it bore an uncanny resemblance to the design of a proposed commemorate license plate honoring Vermont's resident lake monster 'Champ.'
Coast listeners were treated to two episodes this past week in which the tantalizing topic of time took center stage. First, on Sunday night's program, science writer Eric Wargo discussed the fascinating phenomenon of 'retrocausality," where incidents in the future somehow manage to impact the past. Then, on Wednesday evening, hypnotherapist Dr. Bruce Goldberg shared insights into time travelers and how these mysterious individuals are connected to perceived 'alien' species like the grays, Nordics, and reptilians.
By far the most bizarre story from the past week centered around a man in Montana who found himself on the receiving end of gunshots from a hunter who thought he was Bigfoot. Fortunately, the suspected Sasquatch was able to avoid the bullets, making the story more amusing than tragic, which it very well could have been had he not reacted quickly and ducked for cover. And, to the man's credit and our bewilderment, he was apparently indifferent about the entire affair, opting to eschew calling the cops until the next day.
