In Coast You Missed It 2/14/25

The Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film, UFO disclosure, and remote viewing were among the fascinating topics explored on Coast to Coast AM this past week. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a fantastic pair of flying saucer photos, a possible ghost encounter filmed by a home security system, and another serial cat shaver on the prowl in England. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Remote viewing was a hot topic of conversation this past week on Coast to Coast AM with a pair of programs exploring the tantalizing psi phenomenon. First, on Saturday night's program, Controlled Remote Viewing (CRV) expert Lori Williams talked about teaching and utilizing the remarkable ability to glimpse beyond oneself. She also detailed specific sessions wherein she viewed esoteric topics and explained some of the practical applications of the phenomenon. Then, on Tuesday night's show, remote viewing pioneer Lyn Buchanan recounted being a part of the Army's proverbial 'psychic spy' unit and reflected on his experiences as an RV instructor.

Two rather intriguing UFO cases popped up on our radar this past week. First, in Argentina, a pair of photos taken by some tourists provided a remarkably clear view of what seemed to be a flying saucer cruising over a lake. The odd object was only spotted in the images when the group returned to their hotel later that day as they never noticed the weird anomaly during their trip. Meanwhile, in China, multiple people reported seeing two strange strings of light that appeared in the sky over a city. Several witnesses managed to capture the peculiar anomalies on film from various perspectives, though local authorities claimed they knew nothing about the puzzling mass sighting.

The proverbial Holy Grail of Bigfootery, the iconic Patterson-Gimlin film, was revisited on Thursday night's program as Daniel Perez discussed his research into the hotly-debated footage. He argued that the inability to duplicate the strolling Sasquatch scene is an indication that what unfolded in the film was genuine. While lamenting that the original footage was lost long ago, he noted that modern technology has allowed for even greater scrutiny of the material that he likened to the legendary Zapruder film. During his appearance, Perez also talked about the theory that Bigfoot is interdimensional and recalled some of his personal experiences with the creature.

A pair of decidedly different doorbell camera videos wound up in the news this past week beginning with some spooky footage from England. After returning from a walk, Jackie Batt was contacted by her neighbor about a strange scene picked up by her security system. In the footage, Batt can be seen crossing paths with another woman who subsequently vanished into thin air. The stunned walker had no recollection of the stranger, who appeared to be dressed in clothing from the 1940s, and suggested that she could have been a spirit. Later in the week, a doorbell camera in Florida captured the moment when a miscreant riding a lawnmower went on a rampage and crashed into multiple mailboxes.

The past few years of previously unfathomable developments surrounding UFOs have given hope to many that the truth about the phenomenon may finally be revealed to the public. On Wednesday night's program, longtime disclosure advocate Steve Bassett returned to the program to provide his perspective on recent events. Positing that we appear to be on the cusp of learning more about UFOs as the government becomes increasingly transparent about previously held secrets, he suggested that Donald Trump could be the long-awaited "disclosure president." To that end, Bassett expressed optimism that revelations regarding the phenomenon would be a positive uniting force in our deeply divided country.

One of the weirder class of cases we've chronicled over the years is that of serial cat shavers. Like a villain from a horror movie, these clipper-wielding miscreants seem to emerge once a year to strike fear into the hearts of pet owners. Sadly, this past week saw the return of the phenomenon as police in a small British community sounded the alarm about a serial cat shaver who had been prowling around in recent weeks. As one might imagine, cops were not too pleased with the ne'er-do-well, lamenting that their antics were traumatizing to both the animals and their owners while also promising to prosecute the pest should they catch the phantom groomer.
