In Coast You Missed It 6/7/24

UFOs and ancient Egypt, Biblical misconceptions, and the power of gemstones were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a massive search for Nessie, a pair of eerie videos featuring odd shadow people, and a Pringles thief with an amusing excuse for pilfering the popular potato chips. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Religion and the Bible were hot topics of conversation this past week on Coast to Coast AM, beginning with Sunday night's program wherein the host of the TV show "It's Supernatural," Sid Roth, talked about healing from a biblical perspective. Then, on Wednesday night's show, medium Christopher Macklin reacted to the Vatican's recent update to their guidelines on suspected supernatural events as well as the Church's previous comments on extraterrestrials. Finally, on Thursday night's program, Jeff Grupp discussed Biblical misconceptions such as the nature of hell as well as the prophesied coming of an Antichrist.

Nessie was back in the news this past week after hundreds of people gathered along the shore of Loch Ness for a massive 'monster hunt' that produced some rather intriguing results. Organized by the Loch Ness Centre tourist attraction and the Loch Ness Exploration (LNE) research group, the weekend-long event drew visitors from around the world and featured an array of activities celebrating Scotland's famed cryptid. Of the many people watching for something unusual during the search, an eleven-year-old girl named Evelyn Murphy proved to be the luckiest as she managed to photograph an odd anomaly that briefly broke the water. Meanwhile, a boat equipped with a hydrophone picked up a peculiar rhythmic sound of unknown origin emanating from somewhere deep within Loch Ness.

A longstanding theory in UFO circles is that there is a connection between ancient Egypt and extraterrestrials. On Monday night's program, author Dr. Michael Salla made the case for just such a scenario, positing that the chimera-like deities of that era could have been otherworldly visitors possessing shapeshifting abilities or technology. Theorizing that the Sirius star system may have been the point of origin for some of these ETs, he theorized that they resembled lions in some fashion, which had a hand in the cat-like appearance of the Sphinx. Salla also argued that the ancient temples of Egypt served as learning centers wherein the ET 'gods' and humans would interact.

This past week featured a pair of peculiar videos featuring mysterious shadow people. First, in the Philippines, a security camera captured footage of a diminutive figure dashing along a balcony outside of a residence. To the homeowner's astonishment, the shadowy being appeared to sport a long tail, causing many online viewers to theorize that the oddity could have been supernatural in nature. Meanwhile, at a recent Taylor Swift concert in Madrid, a fan in attendance spotted a mysterious shadow figure standing alone in the rafters of the stadium, sparking all manner of speculation as to who or what the eerie interloper could have been.

Gemstones took center stage on Saturday night's program as researcher Michael Katz discussed their healing power and what he claimed are the spiritual beings that are responsible for their energy flow. The 'gemstone guardians,' as he called them, manage and maintain these materials, which all have unique and specific properties. To that end, Katz explained that quartz attracts life force and amethyst can help with communication and healing. He also detailed how factors such as color, clarity, and purity can affect the power within the gemstone, while also lamenting that commercially sold crystals are often treated with chemicals that make them look better, but diminish their inherent energy.

The weirdest story of the week came by way of England where a sticky-fingered ne'er-do-well wound up making worldwide headlines when he offered up a rather clever excuse for stealing seventeen tubes of Pringles. Following a series of burglaries at various retail shops, including the aforementioned break-in that saw him make off with a slew of the popular potato chips, Adam Spencer's crime spree came to an end when police finally caught up with him. Upon being questioned about the capers, specifically the pilfered Pringles, the man simply replied with the snack food's long-running slogan "once you pop, you can't stop." Despite being delightfully on-brand with his reasoning for stealing the chips, we're guessing that the Pringles won't be calling him about an endorsement deal.
