Nikola Tesla, Arctic mining, and communicating with the 'other side' were among the fascinating realms explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about Bigfoot possibly being spotted near a beach in Britain, and an odd flying saucer photographed in Mexico, and the latest potential sighting of the Loch Ness Monster. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.
Arctic miner Mike Greene took Coast listeners on a journey to north of the Arctic Circle on Saturday night's program as he recalled his years of prospecting for gold in Alaska. He detailed the challenges of having a claim in such a remote corner of the world, where the site is only accessible by way of a canoe. Rather than the typical flake gold, Greene said that his claim has yielded BB-sized pieces of the precious metal and that he has known some miners who have recovered whopping nuggets that were the size of tennis balls. During his appearance, he also recounted tales of goblin-like creatures that some say inhabit the frosty caves of Alaska.
After managing to elude observation since April, the Loch Ness Monster may have finally been spotted again this past week as a resident of the area reported seeing a mysterious wake that was moving across the water and seemingly had no discernible source. The seven-minute long event, which the witness managed to capture on film, was solid enough that the case was accepted as the fifth official Nessie sighting for 2022. Meanwhile, the famed monster may find that it is running out of places to hide after a tourist group at Loch Ness installed five new webcams around the site with the hopes of catching a glimpse of the legendary creature.
The life and discoveries of Nikola Tesla took center stage on Wednesday night's program as Dr. Marc J. Seifer discussed the famed inventor's work as well as the many prominent figures that he crossed paths with during his prodigious career. He noted that the some of Tesla's ingenious ideas, such as the particle beam weapon, are actually still influencing military technology today and that Joseph Stalin actually attempted to purchase the inventor's designs for such a weapon back in the 1930s. Seifer also detailed how Tesla's concepts regarding multiple frequencies and wireless channels wound up coming to fruition in devices like cell phones, TV remotes, and WiFi.
This past week saw a pair of cases involving puzzling objects in the sky that left witnesses scratching their heads. In Mexico, a man snapped a series of photographs of what can only be described as a 'flying saucer' hovering over a road. The disc-shaped metallic-looking object appears to be ascending in the three images and, as one might imagine, the peculiar pictures sparked considerable interest among UFO enthusiasts. An even more bewildering sight was captured by a woman in Britain who filmed what appeared to be an inexplicable cube-shaped cloud in the sky over a site with the appropriately eerie name the Devil's Punch Bowl.
Communicating with the 'other side' was a hot topic of conversation on C2C this past week with several episodes delving into the subject, beginning with Monday night's program, wherein clairvoyant medium Kim Dennis discussed her gift and shared tips for how listeners can receive messages from those who have entered into the afterlife. Then, on Tuesday night's show, retired police officer Brandon Wainwright talked about working with animal communicators following the passing of his beloved dog led to him becoming convinced that contact with the 'other side' is possible. Finally, Thursday night's program saw intuitive Char Margolis talk about her over four decades of work and how one can develop their own psychic skills.
Sasquatch sightings that unfolded in two decidedly different locations made headlines this past week, starting with a man in Britain who claimed to have encountered Bigfoot while walking around some sand dunes near a beach. While the tale is understandably hard to believe, his story was seemingly strengthened a few days later when a woman walking her dog in the same area stumbled upon a pair of massive footprints that she estimated were five times the size of what one would expect from a human. Then, in South Carolina, a trio of siblings driving home from a state park passed what they described as a bipedal, hair-covered creature that they were certain was Sasquatch.
