The Hubble Telescope has captured a stunning image of a star's relatively brief demise as it runs out of its nuclear fuel and emits beams of light. This image shows the Egg Nebula. According to scientists, the nebula is heated over a few thousand years by the hot remains of an aging star at its core, which excites the gas and makes it glow. Researchers admit that much of the spectacular celestial event remains a mystery. More at Mail Online.
