In an eerie story out of Thailand, a man who died in a purportedly haunted room left behind a message wherein he claimed to have been tormented by ghosts. According to a local media report, the unsettling case came to light this past Sunday when authorities found the body of Chaiya Yam, who had been renting a room in the district of Mueang Rayong. Upon removing his remains, police searched the location and discovered the man's diary, which contained a truly chilling passage. "There are ghosts in this room every night," Yam wrote, "the temple where I am staying is powerful. I don't know if they want me to make some merits for them. They come to torment me."
The deceased man's message continued with him lamenting that "no one believes me when I tell them. They think I am ridiculous. I don't know what to do. I am extremely tormented. They are everywhere, day and night, interfering with everything. I will die a nervous wreck." Sadly, it would seem that Yam's prediction proved to be correct as he presumably passed away shortly after writing the diary entry. As for the source of the spirits that made the man's final days a living hell, it was later learned that he was, in fact, the third person to die in that very room and, as such, it is believed that the ghost of one or both of those individuals were behind the haunting.
