Meat Mystery Troubles British Town

By Tim Binnall

A British town has been gripped by a strange mystery centered around puzzling piles of meat that have been found throughout the community over the last few months. The weird case is reportedly unfolding in the Manchester suburb of Stockport where residents have understandably expressed consternation over the mounds of beef and chicken that someone has seemingly been dumping at various spots in the small town. "People are really worried about it," council candidate Joanna Williams said of the near-weekly meat 'deposits,' noting that many are fearful of the possibility that "there's any poison in it and if it's intended for dogs who might get sick if they eat it."

Calling the dumping of the raw food "bizarre behavior," Williams went on to lament that residents are "baffled and annoyed" by the "strange phenomenon." As for who could be dumping the meat and why, she theorized that "it's businesses cutting costs on legitimate disposal practices" with the misguided belief that the peculiar practice is permissible since the materials are technically biodegradable. While that may be the case, the people of Stockport are fed up with finding the piles of beef and chicken scattered around the community and the hope is that they may put an end to the practice by raising awareness of the meat weirdness that had plagued the town.
