A police department in Michigan has something of a macabre mystery on their hands following the discovery of what appears to be a piece of someone's gravestone. The curious case came to light this past Saturday by way of a Facebook post from the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office. Sharing multiple pictures of what they surmised was "a section of a grave headstone" that had been found on a road, they explained that a check of the closest cemetery yielded no indication that it originated from there. With the only potential clue being the letters 'VIS' engraved in the piece, the department is hopeful that someone in the community might recognize the mysterious marker so that it can be to put back in its rightful place.
