Mischievous Teen Revealed to be Source of 'Paranormal' Activity Haunting Indian Woman

By Tim Binnall

After being tormented by eerie activity in her home for the last few months, a woman in India is breathing a sigh of relief as authorities determined that the strangeness had been caused by a teenage troublemaker rather than an unruly spirit. According to a local media report, the weird case began earlier this year when the victim, identified as Sajitha, purchased a new phone and began receiving peculiar messages on the device. The notes, she said, seemingly accurately predicted future events that would happen in her home, such as the lights turning on and off as well as other electronics being inexplicably disrupted.

The woman understandably grew increasingly agitated as these digital premonitions appeared on her phone over the next several months and she eventually began to entertain some rather fantastic theories for what might be behind them. Specifically, she postulated that perhaps the activity could be paranormal in nature or that she had become trapped in some kind of electronic simulation gone awry. Eventually Sajitha settled upon a human suspect in the case, reporting to police that her estranged husband had somehow been controlling all of the devices in the residence by nefarious means.

When the authorities looked into the case, they soon found that Sajitha's accusation against her former partner was unfounded, though not altogether incorrect as far as what could be behind the unsettling activity. Cops investigating the matter quickly zeroed in on a boy who lives near the woman and, upon being questioned, the youngster confessed to being the culprit. When asked why he had been harassing Sajitha, the 14-year-old offered the sort of sullen answer one might expect from a teenager, telling police that "he just felt like it." Authorities later discovered that he had managed to pull off the 'haunting' by way of 'ghostly' pranks that he learned from watching YouTube videos.
