The appearance of a mysterious balloon over Utah prompted a rather amusing response from one city's police department. According to a local media report, the aerial anomaly was spotted over the state on Wednesday. Taking to social media to address the "six million calls" about the balloon that they had received from the public, the Springville Police Department amusingly 'revealed' that "this was in fact an alien spaceship sent from China to steal all the livestock" in the city. They went on to explain that the exotic-looking device was actually a balloon designed to measure solar radiation in the atmosphere, though the author of the post amusingly conceded that "I really don’t know what that means because I am just a cop with a high school diploma."
