A curious piece of footage circulating online shows a strange object hovering in the sky over the desert in Arizona, although the mysterious nature of the oddity may merely be a matter of perspective. The video was reportedly filmed this past weekend by a truck driver, who was apparently so bewildered by what he was seeing that he pulled over to the side of the road to capture it with his cell phone camera. As is often the case with such puzzling sightings, the man's footage subsequently popped up on a YouTube channel devoted to aerial anomalies.
In the footage, the unnamed witness explains that he was "driving back from Yuma, Arizona" when he looked up in the sky and spotted "this thing." Confounded by the odd object, the man eventually zooms in on the object which seems to sport some kind of propeller and asks "what is that," noting that "it's just floating there." The truck driver goes on to speculate that the mystery object could be a "fancy drone" or perhaps a weather balloon and ultimately just muses that it's bizarre.
As for what the object could have been, aside from an alien craft which has been the suggestion put forward by some UFO enthusiasts, the answer to that question may lie in the point of view of the witness on the ground. It would appear that the truck driver observed the backside of some kind of blimp as the fairly faint outline of an airship can be seen extending forward from the propeller. The purpose of the craft is another story altogether as it has been theorized by various people online that it was either related to the military, border control, or homeland security.
