Taking the spooky spirit of Halloween off planet, NASA has posted a playlist of chilling sounds captured in space.
The eerie acoustics come via radio emissions of celestial objects which were picked up by various spacecraft send out into the cosmos by the agency over the years.
In turn, NASA turned these signals into sounds waves to produce some rather remarkable noises that make space seem almost nightmarish.
Somewhat reminiscent of the infamous 'sounds of hell,' the proverbial greatest hits shared by the space agency this week includes a weird crackling that came from a comet and radio emissions that from Jupiter as well as Saturn.
Alas, none of the noises seem to feature alien voices crying out from the cosmos looking for a friend, the sounds are still pretty amazing.
