In a recent interview, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed that he had a remarkable multiple witness UFO sighting which may have been connected to fighter jets and a nuclear power plant!
While appearing on the podcast You Made it Weird, the superstar athlete opened up about the incident for the first time.
According to Rodgers, the sighting occurred while he was visiting New Jersey to appear on a television program back in 2005.
As he and his friends were finishing dinner, they suddenly heard a strange siren in the distance, compelling them to go outside and investigate.
When they looked up at the night sky, they were stunned to see a strange anomaly which Rodgers described as "a large orange, left-to-right-moving object."
Although obscured by an overcast sky, the quarterback is certain that the men saw a UFO.
Strangely, after the object disappeared, the witnesses then heard a group of fighter jets come racing through the night sky.
Although the event sounds like a typical UFO sighting, Rodgers' analysis of what happened serves as an even more surprising aspect of the story.
"If you know anything about UFO sightings or you've done research, you know that a lot of times two things are connected to UFO sightings," Rodgers told the podcast.
"One, is the presence of fighter jets. And two, there's a lot of sightings around nuclear power plants. So to tie it all together, the alarm we heard was from 30 miles out was a nuclear power plant that had an alarm that went off."
Clearly, Rodgers is not only familiar with UFO research, but apparently has looked deeply into the phenomenon, since he cited the fairly arcane trend of unidentified craft visiting nuclear power plants.
Celebrity UFO sightings are not entirely rare events, but the revelation from Rodgers that he has apparently researched the phenomenon makes his case stand out among the rest.
So while he may not be making a presentation at any upcoming MUFON events, having a national celebrity give credence to serious research into the phenomenon is certainly a rare and positive development.
And, as far as his own sighting goes, if Rodgers' eyesight is as keen at spotting UFOs as it is on the football field, we're willing to believe that he really did encounter some kind of unknown craft.
