A notoriously haunted Texas hotel could soon be yours as the owners of the historic building have decided to sell the spooky site. According to a local media report, the Olde Park Hotel in the community of Ballinger was built in the 1880s. Converted into an event venue by owners Connie and Dan LaFave, the building has become a popular destination for paranormal investigators and ghost hunters hoping to encounter the many spirits said to reside at the location. However, after a decade of hosting thrill seekers and television programs profiling the site, the couple have decided to "transition to something else in our lives" and are now seeking offers for the historic building.
"We brought life back into this old building from the ages," they reflected in a Facebook post, marveling that the hotel "has been featured in so many places" as its spooky reputation grew. To that end, the LaFaves indicated that they will consider offers from prospective buyers who will honor bookings for next year and continue operating the location as a venue for paranormal investigations. "If we do decide to sell it to them," they wrote, "they will most certainly do very special things like we have done in carrying it all forward in honoring what we have done personally and for what this historic and paranormal venue really is." While the LaFaves posted no specific asking price, they are currently accepting offers from anyone who might have the means to continue their work.
