After an accident took the lower half of his hind legs, a cat named Oscar had his mobility restored thanks to a groundbreaking surgery which provided the feline with prosthetic limbs. A first for cats, the 'faux paws' are specially designed so that skin will grow around the implants and effectively meld them to the animal's body. Scientists hope that such a technique can be used for human prosthetics in the future. More on the story, including video of Oscar in action, can be found here.
