On July 12, 2022, NASA's Mars Perseverance rover captured an image of a spaghetti-like object using its Front Right Hazard Avoidance Camera A. The rover uses its onboard hazard avoidance cameras to protect it whenever it is maneuvering or while its robotic arm is in motion. The strange tangled bundle is likely debris from when Perseverance first arrived on Mars in February 2021.
