A police officer in India claims to have seen UFOs lingering near one of the country's nuclear power plants on multiple occasions. According to a local media report, the remarkable revelation came by way of Indian ufologist Sabir Hussain, who connected with the witness and convinced him to share his story with the world. The officer, Syed Abdul Kader, says that the sightings occurred in August of last year in the community of Kalpakkam, which is home to a fairly sizeable nuclear power plant.
The witness is said to have seen the anomalous objects "more than 10 times" and filmed them twice, though his footage from the incidents has yet to be made public besides a video still that can be seen below. Recounting his experiences, Kader indicated that he is "more than 100 percent sure what I saw were UFOs" after consulting with Hussain about the sightings. The officer's reasoning for this conclusion is that the objects maneuvered in a manner unlike anything he has seen from a terrestrial aircraft.
"The way it stood still, the way it made zigzag movements, and the speed in which it disappeared," Kader marveled, "all were different." The curious case in Kalpakkam will undoubtedly sound familiar to longtime students of the UFO mystery as there is a history of anomalous objects appearing around American military bases that housed nuclear weapons. In light of what recently unfolded in his country, Hussain argued that the peculiar connection between UFOs and nuclear installations constitutes a "global phenomenon" that should be taken seriously by government officials in both the US and India.
