Amid the many headline-making revelations contained in Prince Harry's controversial new memoir is an unexpected foray into the world of the paranormal by way of an account of his meeting with a psychic who said she could connect with Princess Diana on the 'other side.' In detailing the peculiar story, which is reportedly featured near the end of the book, titled Spare, he explains that this unnamed woman "claimed to have 'powers'" and that, although he "recognized the high-percentage chance of humbuggery," he agreed to sit down with her at the urging of trusted friend who vouched for the veracity of her gifts.
Immediately upon meeting the medium, he marvels in the memoir, "I felt an energy around her." Harry goes on to write that the psychic informed him that she could feel his mother's energy around him and that her spirit was with him "right now." The medium went on to tell Harry that Diana knew that he was in a state of turmoil, but assured him that "you’re living the life she wanted for you." Still skeptical of the psychic's purported powers, the prince asked for "proof. A sign. Anything" to assure him that the communication was genuine.
In response, he writes, the medium noted a specific incident involving a Christmas ornament that his son Archie had broken and then subsequently tried to fix. The psychic asserted that she knew of the event because Diana's spirit had been there at the time and "your mother says she had a bit of a giggle about that." While it is uncertain if the medium managed to convince the prince, the fact that the story was included in his memoir would seem to suggest that he became a believer after his meeting with the woman.
