To the understandable chagrin of pet owners in a British community, a sinister miscreant who mysteriously shaves cats has resumed the unsettling practice in their town after going quiet for months. According to a local media report, the curious case began last summer when multiple people in the village of Lambourn discovered that someone had taken an electric razor to their feline friends. The series of strange events briefly gripped the community until the incidents stopped and residents breathed a sigh of relief. However, it would seem that this was merely a temporary respite as it was revealed last week that the razor-wielding ne'er-do-well is back on the prowl.
Taking to social media, a dismayed resident ominously warned pet owners in the community to keep their feline pets inside as "the phantom cat shaver is about again." Lest one think this was an isolated incident, a second individual appeared to confirm the concerning development. "My cat has been shaved constantly for months now," they lamented, "it's weird." Similarly strange is that these recent incidents are just the latest in what has become a recurring phenomenon in England. Beyond the series of cases in Lambourn last summer, serial cat shavers previously terrorized different parts of the country in December of 2023 and in March of 2018.
