A serial cat shaver in England has struck again as an unfortunate tabby named Twinkle recently lost a patch of fur to the shaver-wielding miscreant. The latest case of the curious crime spree that has kept British animal lovers on edge for the last several years happened last month in the community of Foleshill and was reveald this week when the feline's owner, Lucy O'Donoghue, detailed the incident to a local media outlet. Initially "bewildered" by the discovery that Twinkle had seemingly been shaved, she was chagrined when her suspicions were confirmed by a visit to a pet groomer, who told her that such incidents have been occurring in neighboring Coventry "since 2021," though this case was the first to have unfolded in Foleshill.
With the cat shaver seemingly on the move, O'Donoghue felt compelled to come forward with her story so that pet owners in her community could be on guard against the ne'er-do-well. Observing that Twinkle is "not really a people person and does not go to strangers," she was mystified as to how the troublemaker "got near her, let alone held her down and done it." Echoing many other cat owners who have seen their beloved pets fall victim to the shaver over the years, she mused that "it is bizarre, but also really sinister because if someone is going to do that, what else are they capable of?” While it remains to be seen if the reprobate will strike again in the community, folks in Foleshill would be wise to keep an eye on the favorite feline with the phantom on the prowl.
