A community in Mexico is on edge following the discovery of a strangely slain ram that some suspect may have fallen victim to the infamous chupacabra. The odd case reportedly came to light last week when Jenni Silvia Pardo stumbled upon the creature's curious carcass in the town of Leona Vicario. Whatever had taken down the unfortunate animal had removed its eyes and left the ram sporting several puzzling wounds around its mouth and neck. Sharing pictures of the ram's remains online, Pardo mused that "I think there are Chupacabras in Leona Vicario. I've been investigating what animal could leave them like this."
Her assertion that the notorious 'goat sucker' of legend and lore could have been responsible for the creature's condition was met with some skepticism on social media and many individuals suggesting that the pictures were fake or that the ram had simply fallen victim to a prosaic predator. Undeterred, Pardo posted additional pictures of a decapitated goat which, she claimed, appeared to have been exsanguinated in a manner often attributed to the chupacabra. "More evidence," she declared, "believe it or not, strange things happen. Judge for yourselves." As of now, the case remains unsolved, though resides of Leona Vicario are understandably keeping an eye on their livestock in the event that Pardo's chupacabra theory is correct.
