Study Determines Best and Worst States for Surviving an Alien Invasion

By Tim Binnall

An odd new study has produced a list which ranks all 50 states on the basis of how well they would fare in the event of an alien invasion. The peculiar project was reportedly the work of the website NJCasino.com, which examined a variety of rather unique metrics that they believe would be key elements to come into play should ETs opt for a hostile arrival here on Earth. Specifically, the study looked at the amount of reported UFO sightings in relation to population density, the percentage of area covered by water or forests in each state, the number of military personnel, law enforcement officers, scientists, and engineers per 1,000 people, and the distribution of food and beverage companies.

By crunching all of these numbers, the researchers developed a somewhat byzantine "points-based index system" which revealed the best locations for surviving an alien invasion as well as the less-than-ideal spots. At the top of the list of states was Virginia with an 'alien survival score' of 8.04, followed by Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, and Louisiana. At the bottom of the rankings were Nebraska, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona, and, coming in last, Nevada, which 'boasted' a score of just 4.53 and, one presumes, could be targeted by invading aliens keen on visiting Area 51 in the event that any of their companions are being kept in captivity.
