A motorist in Slovakia found himself in trouble with the law after he was caught driving with his dog behind the wheel. The weird bust reportedly came to light late last week by way of a Facebook post from the Slovak Police Force wherein they marveled that "officers could not believe their eyes" when a traffic camera snapped an astounding photo (seen above) of a rather curious car speeding through the village of Šterusy. Rather than the expected person behind the wheel of the vehicle, cops instead saw that "a brown hunting dog was smiling beautifully into the camera."
When police subsequently pulled the driver over, the unnamed 31-year-old man claimed that his pet pooch had simply jumped onto his lap moments before the photo was taken. However, officers did not buy the motorist's story as, they explained, the camera did not capture any such movement in the car which could account for the dog being on his lap. Calling the motorist "irresponsible," police say that he was fined "on the spot" and they used the incident to urge motorists to be more careful when driving around with their pets.
