UK Cat Shaver on the Prowl Again?

Two years after terrorizing pet owners in England, a mysterious individual who kidnaps and shaves cats appears to have returned.

The twisted miscreant, dubbed the 'Cotswold cat shaver,' made headlines back in March of 2016 when an astounding 12 cats in a small region of England seemingly vanished and then reappeared with patches of fur missing.

At the time, the case was serious enough that the RSPCA launched an investigation into the cat shavings, but came up short in the search for a culprit as the incidents came to an end shortly the story received widespread attention.

Alas, however, if new reports coming out of the region are to be believed, the Cotswold cat shaver has come out of exile and is on the prowl looking for new victims.

Residents in several towns throughout the area say that their cats have recently been discovered sporting inexplicable bald patches similar to the victimized felines of 2016.

One dismayed cat owner lamented that her furry friend Tabby disappeared for a day and returned home with hair removed from her leg and stomach.

Whatever happened to the animal during its abduction was apparently rather traumatic as her owner says that the cat has been acting erratic and aggressive ever since she came home.

Perhaps in an effort to quell the community's concerns, one area veterinarian argued that these bald spots are simply the result of overgrooming by the animals and not the word of a sinister cat shaver.

However, pet owners who have had their cats fall into the clutches of the shaver say that it hard to believe since there appears to be something unnatural and almost deliberate about the patches.

That said, the most vexing question coming out of this story may simply be why, if the cat shaver exists, they are tormenting these animals in such a bizarre fashion.

And, even more worrisome, what they may do once the novelty of weird crimes wears off and they 'evolve' from shaving cats to something even more unsettling.
