This past weekend, Moth Night took place across the UK, which included a moth count/survey by enthusiasts. The annual census is organized by Butterfly Conservation and Atropos, which hopes to raise awareness of moths and their importance in the food chain. It's believed that climate change may have reduced the population of some of the moth species. More on moths here.
