A village in Ghana has been gripped by a rather strange mystery after an uprooted tree suddenly and inexplicably returned to an upright position a week later. According to a local media report, the curious case began earlier this month when a powerful storm swept over the community of Dambai. The inclement weather was apparently so bad that a rather sizeable teak tree wound up being pulled from the ground. When resident Mary Boama stumbled upon the downed debris from the storm, she set about removing its branches for future use as firewood. When the woman later returned to the tree (which can be seen below), she was stunned to see that it was mysteriously back in its original standing position, sans branches.
Having been responsible for removing its limbs and suspecting that there was some kind of supernatural explanation for the tree standing upright once again, Boama is understandably perturbed by the perplexing development. To that end, out of fear that her actions could bring about back tidings, she indicated that she intends to enlist a "spiritualist" to get to the bottom of the baffling mystery. "This is a clear case of 'wonders shall never end,'" Boama mused. Adding an additional curious element to the confounding tale, resident Abraham Sapaku recalled hearing a "loud sound" which occurred moments before it was discovered that the tree was back to the way it had been before the storm.
