An Arkansas couple credits Bigfoot with bringing them together after a chance encounter led to the duo discovering that they both had eerily similar Sasquatch sightings in the past. According to a local media report, Darren and Debbie are the pair at the center of this cryptozoological love story which has blossomed in the state's Nash County. Years ago, Darren had been walking through the woods when "this creature come running from my right to my left, broad daylight." The bipedal beast, he claims, was "what people would call a Bigfoot" and the sighting was so frightening that it left the man frozen in his tracks. Meanwhile, at around the same time frame, Debbie and her mother had their own run-in with the famed cryptid.
"This Bigfoot walked out of the woods," she recalls, "and just stopped right in the road. My mom stopped the car and so we're staring at Bigfoot and he's staring at us and we didn't know what to do." While each of them are certain that they saw a Sasquatch, they both largely kept quiet about their experiences until one fateful day when they just so happened to be shopping at the same convenience store. Out in the parking lot, Debbie spotted an 'I Break for Bigfoot' bumper sticker on Darren's truck, which prompted her to ask him about the decal. In response, he said, "well I've got to tell you the whole story" and detailed his Sasquatch sighting.
As one might imagine, Debbie was astounded by the tale and proceeded to share her own experience with the elusive creature. "We were both amazed that we had both seen Bigfoot about the same time in about the same area," she marveled. Darren echoed those sentiments, musing that it's "almost miraculous, because what are the odds." Out of that meeting, the two became friends and, over time, fell in love. "Bigfoot's what brought us together," Debbie declared, which makes it only fitting that their wedding ceremony included a 'special guest' in the form of a person in a Sasquatch costume.
