An Australian man out for a walk along a nature trail wound up needing medical attention following an unsettling encounter with an angry goat. The odd incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday in the community of Glenbrook, which is located in the country's Lower Blue Mountains. What began as a peaceful morning stroll along a path populated by joggers and people riding bikes turned into a nightmare for the unnamed man when he was suddenly taken down by an ornery goat.
The presumably unprovoked attack proved to be rather potent as the man tumbled to the ground and could not regain his footing due to a fairly serious leg injury. This prompted a call to paramedics, who were dispatched to help the wounded walker. Adding insult to injury, as medical personnel tended to the man, the aggressive goat stood just a few feet away, ominously looming over the scene and, one assumes, taking some kind of twisted pleasure in the carnage it had caused.
Described by a senior paramedic as "one of the more bizarre" calls that the department had received, the man was ultimately loaded into an ambulance while the goat, apparently still holding a grudge, watched him being taken away. Suggesting that the surprising showdown may have been personal, the creature then ambles away from the area peacefully coexisting with other walkers and bicyclists who are blissfully unaware of its pugnacious nature.
