Video: Burger King Thailand Unveils Bizarre 'Burger' Featuring 20 Slices of Cheese and No Meat

Burger King in Thailand has added a bizarre new addition to its menu in the form of a rather nightmarish-looking 'burger' that consists of just 20 slices of American cheese between two buns and no meat. The very strange sandwich was reportedly unveiled this past Sunday on the restaurant chain's Facebook account in a post wherein they assured customers that the melty monstrosity was not a joke and, in fact, "is for real." True to their word, the jaw-dropping sandwich began being offered for sale at Burger Kings throughout Thailand on Monday at a price of around $3 and, since then, countless curious customers have flocked to the fast food restaurants throughout the country to feast on what the chain has dubbed the 'real cheeseburger.'

While the weird 'burger' has spawned headlines around the world, it is not exactly a hit among those who have had the chance to try it. As one might image, the consensus among customers is that the sandwich contains far too much of its 'signature ingredient' with one patron telling CNN that "I could only finish half of it. This is an insane amount of cheese." Meanwhile, an individual on TikTok reportedly echoed that sentiment, detailing how "it was really yummy at first bite, and you can feel the thickness of the cheese, but the more I ate, the more cloying it got; it was too much for me." Based on the reviews, the 'burger' is probably not going to be wind up on the menu here in America, though we wouldn't entirely rule it out, considering how it's become something of a sensation in Thailand.
