Video: Drummer's Jam Session Abruptly Ended by Angry Ax-Wielding Man

A California man playing drums in a park saw his jam session come to a screeching halt when an angry ax-wielding man ran over and smashed his drum kit. The shocking incident reportedly occurred this past Saturday at Todd Longshore Park in the city of Santa Clarita. Shortly after sunrise that morning, musician Andy Torres arrived on the scene and began playing the drums while wearing a luchador mask. The man says that he frequently visits the park around the start and end of the day in order to practice playing the instrument, which he has just begun to learn. Although he claims that no one has complained about this practice before, on that particular morning it quickly became clear that at least one individual in the area was not a fan.

In a wild video captured by a GoPro camera that Torres had filming his practice session, an unidentified man can be seen charging over to the musician's drum set and violently smashing it with an ax. "He just came up swinging," the musician recalled, noting that the angry 'critic' did not say a word as the jaw-dropping attack unfolded. Wisely realizing that, in this instance, discretion was the better part of valor, Torres opted not to fight back, but did inform him that the incident had been caught on film by way of his camera, which understandably caused the man to leave the scene.

Fortunately, Torres was able to capture footage of the the attacker's vehicle, including the license plate, and that information has been passed on to police. Meanwhile, the musician remains understandably shaken by encounter, musing that "I get stuck thinking about that and I have to pull myself out it." To that end, Torres insists that he will continue to try and master the drums, despite the ax-wielding man's astounding act of aggression. While the musician's resolve in undeniably commendable, given what occurred on Saturday morning, he may want to reconsider ho those jam sessions at the break of dawn.
