An anomaly hunter looking for strange and unusual objects on Mars believes that he has found evidence of an ancient engine sitting on the surface of the Red Planet. The odd find was made by indefatigable UFO researcher Scott Waring while studying images taken by NASA's Mars Curiosity Rover. In one particularly intriguing photo, he was stunned to see an oddly shaped anomaly which he argues "closely resembles today's modern jet engines."
Noting that the object is "old, dented and has a layer of dust on it," Waring observed that it still stands out among the more pedestrian rocks around it. He went on declare that the possible ancient propulsion system is "proof that aliens on Mars did have engines far more advanced than our own." As for how such an engine might work, Waring postulated that it was powered by "micro tech built directly into the object's structure."
Alas, should Waring's fantastic interpretation of the photo be correct, it would seem that whatever craft was powered by the engine wound up being disintegrated by the harsh conditions on the Red Planet. This leaves one to wonder why, like the old joke about black boxes and airliners, the Martians didn't just build their vehicles out of the same durable materials that they used for the propulsion system. Setting that thought experiment aside, skeptics will undoubtedly contend that no such scenario happened because the 'engine' is just a rock that appears out of the ordinary due to the phenomenon of pareidolia.
